The cavalry waits,
To take you to your front door,
Better cover your head and the twist in your neck,
You don’t shy away,
Just smile and enjoy the ride,
As you trample on all that should stand in your way,
. . .
I’m hearing the echoes again, hearing the echoes again,
During the night, I’m hearing the echoes again,
They’re coming alive,
I’m hearing the echoes again, they’re dragging us over the edge,
So into the deep we descend, into the deep
. . .
The devil awaits,
To take you to your new home,
You are crossing the water to witness them drown,
Fear turns to hate,
You watch as your army grows,
In this permanent darkness, that nobody knows
. . .
Fall as fast as we can go,
Breathe into the light,
. . .
Take your time and choose your words,
but print a lie and you deserve,
To cut your teeth and hear the crowd,
baying blood and sing aloud,
“suffer this, suffer this, suffer this”
. . .
Raise your head from the sand,
It’s too late to clean your hands,
Lift yourself from the ground,
All the angels coming down.

I remember in my childhood near a village there was a place full of dead trees, red and dead from all the chemicals that were dumped into the nearby bay from the chemical plant. That's exactly the vibes I get from this effort, similar in story or not. Morbid! But hopefully a wake up call for some as well. Aleksei Tepljakov
